After a couple of weeks using my new Fiio X3 mark III I am capable to explain my feeling and experience. It was intended to replace my combo Smartphone plus Fiio Alpen 2 without loosing amplification power or audio quality and improving some audio configurations not supported by Alpen 2. The new X3 is beauty and well-finished, its specifications are amazing, playing almost all audio file formats -DSD64 included- and 160 mw of power. Power enought to fight against the 200 mw of the Alpen 2, so all was served to success. At least, at first glance.
